Camille Battista is a first-year Master’s student at the McGill Department of Political Science with a concentration in Political Theory and International Relations. Working under the supervision of Professor Catherine Lu, her thesis will explore how compassion and benevolence can serve as new foundations for international cooperation in a world facing global and structural injustices. Camille is a recipient of the Canada Graduate Scholarship at the Master’s Level from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and was a 2022-2023 Rhodes Scholarship Finalist.

Camille completed her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy at the Université de Montréal and holds a DEC in Liberal Arts from Marianopolis College. She previously worked as Political Assistant for a Member of the National Assembly of Québec. With a background in music, Camille sings in the Filles de l’Île Women’s Chamber Choir since 2016 and is the musical director for her former high school’s musical theatre troupe since 2021.
