Marc Olivier Cantin

Marc-Olivier Cantin is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Centre for International Peace and Security Studies (CIPSS) at McGill University. His research focuses on rebel organizations and violence against civilians during armed conflicts. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Montreal and an M.A. from King’s College London. Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Marc-Olivier worked as a research analyst for the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect in New York, where he conducted research and organized advocacy campaigns on mass atrocity prevention.
