Women Peace and Security
CIPSS is the co-host of the new Research Network on Women, Peace and Security. The Network seeks to mobilize expertise on issues related to the WPS agenda, and more broadly, to the intersections of militarism, (in)security, settler-colonialism, gender, race, sexuality, and disability.

Civilian Protection and Humanitarian Action
This CIPSS research stream comprises a series of projects and policy-engagement activities —including dialogues with the UN—that relate to the protection of civilian populations in armed conflict, refugees, and internally displaced peoples.

Peaceful Change in Global Politics
CIPSS members are core members of The Global Research Network on Peaceful Change—or GRENPEC—which focuses on the study of the causes, sources, mechanisms, and consequences of peaceful change at the international, regional, and domestic levels.

International Institutions in Turbulent Times
This new research cluster brings together an inter-disciplinary group of scholars from McGill University and Université de Montréal to analyze the evolution of international institutions in response to endogenous and exogenous factors.
Raison d’état Blog
Raison d’état is a blog whose goal is to disseminate the research of students of Montreal universities on subjects related to peace and international security. Raison d’état is therefore a space in which contributors can express themselves on subjects related to their research and share their knowledge with a wide audience.
It is managed and edited on a voluntary basis by a team of graduate students from CEPSI, the Center for Studies on International Peace and Security at the Université de Montreal.
