Shabbir is a Master of Public Policy at Max Bell School of Public Policy. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from North South University and a Master of Development Studies degree from East West University in Bangladesh. Shabbir has worked for several years at the Asia Foundation – Bangladesh as a Technical Advisor. He is trained in policy advocacy and successfully led the policy component of a large-scale Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Project. His research areas of interests include women’s empowerment, religious tolerance, gender mainstreaming, labour rights, tech-based community solutions, and social justice for people with disabilities. He is an awardee of the Asia Foundation’s Presidential Award.
