George Yean is an MA student in Political Science at McGill University, and his interests lie in international relations, grand strategy, and how globalization especially trade and economics shape geopolitics. He also pays special attention to East Asia Politics. He obtained a master’s degree in public policy from Queen’s and a master’s degree in computer science from Western, and studied economics at Carleton. Before he developed a strong interest in public policy and politics, he studied computer science and had worked in the tech sector for two multinational firms (Cisco and Ciena) in Ottawa for six years. Most recently, he had an intern as a research analyst at the Ministry of Labour, Ontario Government.
