Melinda Lacroix

At present a Master’s degree candidate in political science at McGill University, I completed my bachelor degree with honors in political science at Université de Montréal. Holding both SSHRC and FRQSC fellowships, I am currently writing my thesis called « The Liberal International Order in Crisis: A Discourse Analysis », under the supervision of Professor Vincent Pouliot. The project is using qualitative methods of discourse analysis in order to compare the diplomatic discourses delivered between 2017 and 2018 by alleged, and often self-proclaimed, contestors of the liberal world order. My research interests are thus focused towards the contestation of the liberal world order, sociological and critical theories of IR, global governance, peace consolidation and IOs.
