We are all in the midst of unusual environment for teaching and learning, where it can be difficult to find community or ‘fixtures’ in our week that make us feel engaged. This is all the more challenging, given the developments in global politics around us – including a pandemic, rising tensions between the great powers, simmering trade disputes, and an increasingly fragmented multilateral system. We at CIPSS-CEPSI hope that our community of those at McGill interested in peace and security studies, broadly defined, will provide you with the chance to discuss stimulating and cutting-edge research, through our regular events and seminars, and connections to other scholars and students. We’d like to invite you to check out our great line-up of speakers in our Friday series, and to consider participating in our blog platform, Raison d’etat. Apart from hosting our weekly seminar series, we are also hosting the graduate conference in the spring of 2021. Please note that Fall 2020’s programming is all online on Zoom.
For those of you new to McGill, please write to email@example.com for more information about CIPSS-CEPSI, and ensure you are on our regular distribution list.
I wish you a great start to the academic year.
